Can I connect any energy source to my heat pump?

It basically always works. A heat pump from CTC always comes with a function we call EnergyFlex, which means that the customer can connect different heat sources (solar heat, extra tanks, water-coated stove and wood, electric, pellet and gas boilers) to their heat pump.

There are some exceptions, but sometimes the Swedish Energy Agency's rules put a stop to this. If the old boiler is too bad, it should not be docked with a new system. If you have specific questions about your situation - contact your installer.
